“Spirit” is a music journey which began far away, in his Africa. That land which joins, the same world part that looks west as towards it self, Morocco.
This is a story of migrants, of new generations and free spirits.
Momo Said as multilingual, was chosen english to tale this his last debut album, a heterogeneus mixture of soul, beat, reggae, folk and funk.
A full acoustic album, alive, true, played. Energy, the electric one, used only by recorders, to lifetime mark in memories this positive human energy.
Along side the art direction of Doktor Zoil, born Spirit and with it, the choice to feauture each song with a special instrument tone, so that’s the matter for many artists collaborations.
In fact we find the guitar plays of Alessandro Medri (already lead guitar in Mamasita), who in the album, took care of some arrangements, the Costa Brothers from Quintorigo at strings section, Tommy Graziani, son of art of Ivan Graziani, a really talented player on drums. Enrico Farnedi with hukulele and brass section, built up along Marco “Benny” Pretolani from Good Fellas. the vibraphone performed by Pasquale Mirra from Mop Mop, Bonomo’s cameo at guitar and the piano lines of Luca Bonucci, the double bass of Gabriele Pesaresi and Luca Dalpozzo, and percussive rhythms of Danilo Mineo and Federico Lapa.
